Abstracts Frequently Asked Questions
How long should it be?Abstract text length is limited to 250 words. Standard abstract format should be followed: Can figures, charts and graphs be included?Text, figures and tables may be submitted. The current limits are one graphic or table. Who can submit an abstract?One of the authors MUST be a PVSS member or the abstract MUST be sponsored by a PVSS member. A letter of sponsorship should be mailed to the Society’s Secretary: Sean P. Roddy, MD This letter must reference the article with the IDENTICAL TITLE, corresponding author and institution. Failure to meet any of these requirements will result in the abstract not being eligible for review. What topics are acceptable?All vascular topics are allowable. May I submit my abstract to other symposia?Winter Meeting May I submit an abstract that has been presented elsewhere?Please do not submit work that has been either published or presented elsewhere. How will I know if my abstract has been accepted?Please be certain that your e-mail address is correct on the submission form. You will be notified of acceptance via email. What happens after the abstract has been accepted?Accepted abstracts will be presented at the Society’s meeting. Presented abstracts are then eligible for publication in the Annals of Vascular Surgery (Winter Meeting) or Journal of Vascular Surgery (Spring Meeting). Submission of a manuscript is mandatory for both meetings. |
