He was transferred to The University of Chicago and evaluated for aortic thrombectomy. CT scan confirmed the aortic filling defect (fig. 3). There were no palpable pulses in the left leg suggesting interval popliteal re-thrombosis. The left foot had audible Doppler signals and was not threatened.
